Employer Rewards

Welcome to Employer Rewards

The Duwamish Transportation Management Association (TMA) has seed money for companies who will begin, or increase, an employee transportation program. This program will qualify you for exemptions from the Seattle Head Tax - pay your employees instead of taxes. We can also help by being your Employee Transportation Coordinator and doing the paperwork.

Company Eligibility & Participation

Do You Qualify?

Your company qualifies for Employer Rewards if:
You are located in one of Seattle's two Manufacturing and Industrial Ceners - Ballard/Interbay or Duwamish (which includes SODO, Georgetown and South Park) and

Your company is not affected by the Washington State CTR Law (if you don't know what we're talking about then you probably aren't affected).

How does it work?

Begin or enhance your company's transportation benefit by offering your employees any of the following 3 benefits:

  • Establish a Pre-tax Commuter Benefit Program.  It’s no cost to your company to start and Employer Rewards will kick in $250 in transportation vouchers.  It’s easier than a Flexible Spending Account and requires no IRS reporting.
  • Provide at least $10/eligible employee/month in a new commute benefit.  Employer Rewards will match half of what you contribute.  For example, a $20 monthly benefit to employees would cost your company $10.
  • Purchase the low cost Area FlexPass program for your employees.  Employer Rewards will cover 25% of the total cost.  The annual passes range from $68-$111 per employee.

Employer Rewards incentives are available one time only.

With assistance from the Duwamish TMA staff, determine and sign an aggrement for the Employer Rewards benefit package that is right for your company.

Place your transportation benefit order with the Duwamish TMA 45 days prior to the date by which you would like to receive your passes or vouchers.
